ARTS & CULTURE Meeting

A small group of local arts and culture enthusiasts are meeting to organize a new arts and culture nonprofit organization for Montevideo. We held one meeting so far to lay the groundwork to make an application for funds to pay startup costs. We have a consensus on the mission statement and will meet again on Monday, July 29th in the Montevideo Public Library’s large meeting room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. We’ll assign roles to volunteers and look to gain input from supporters.

Would you be willing to serve on the initial coordinating committee to prepare a grant application to apply for an arts organization quick support grant from SMAC for funds to establish a 501c3 organization and prepare associated 501c3 documents?

How would you contribute your time and talents to this project in the first year of start-up?
